EQUINE SPORTS MASSAGE
THERAPY
can be enjoyed by every horse from your competition horse to retired horse in need of a relaxing pamper.

Benefits of massage
Massage is the manipulation of the soft tissues using different techniques to increase relaxation and relieve tension and releasing muscle related problems. It can be enjoyed by every horse from your competition horse to retired horse in need of a relaxing pamper. Box rest horses can also benefit greatly by helping to keep their muscles in the best shape possible, which will reduce stiffness and improve suppleness and flexibility making it more comfortable for the horse in preparation for its return to work.
Just a few of the benefits to your horse:
-
Increases the range of movement and joint function
-
Improves stamina, performance and quality of the gait
-
Provides comfort to muscle injuries
-
Enhancing muscle tone and flexibility
-
Aiding recovery and repair processes following strenuous activity or injury
-
Aids in relaxation and can help to improve the temperament
As a qualified equine massage therapist I have a thorough anatomical understanding of the interrelation of muscles, joints and bone and will select and apply the appropriate techniques for each individual animal.

About me

Hello just a quick bit about me, I have worked with horses full time now for 15 years and have been around them, riding from a young age. I work for a riding school and stud, alongside my massage so have experience working with different types of horses including stallions and youngstock.
I have two of my own horses who both have given me the inspiration to want to learn massage after I saw how much both of them have benefited from treatments in the past for different reasons and how much of a positive effect it can have both physically and mentally.
